"Hedwig and the Angry Inch" tells the story of a life contorted between the search for success on stage and finding fulfillment in a troubled and nonconformist existence. The incredible trials Hedwig goes through, but above all the assumption and sensitivity with which she reveals them to the audience to the rock tunes, have created a cult aura around the play for lovers of the musical genre. Hedwig is not a manifesto for a certain type of sexuality, but a theatrical experience with a profoundly human message that urges openness and empathy towards the suffering that every human being actually feels.
